Tevin Coleman Has High Ankle Sprain
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that running back Tevin Coleman (ankle) has a high ankle sprain. Coleman isn't expected to play this week, and the team will take it week-to-week with him. The San Jose Mercury News' Cam Inman doesn't think Injured Reserve is a possibility. Coleman could be out for as long as a month, so stay patient and leave him in a bench spot. Matt Breida will take over lead-back duties and should immediately have RB2 upside in a Week 2 matchup against the Bengals. Raheem Mostert is worth a waiver claim in deeper leagues, while Jeffery Wilson is likely to join the active roster from the practice squad for more depth.
