Teams Doing Their Homework On Jordan Love
5 years agoSeveral NFL teams are doing some homework on Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in advance of this month's draft. Texas Tech coach Matt Wells, who recruited and coached Love at Utah State, has talked about Love with seven NFL head coaches who called him in the past five days. Scouts and team executives are torn on Love, as some see him as the best pure thrower in this draft class and others see him as a Day 2 pick. He threw for 3,567 yards, 32 TDs and six interceptions in 2018, but his completion percentage fell from 64% to 61.9% last year, and he had 20 TDs and 17 picks. Love's athleticism and arm strength could translate well to the NFL, but he's a polarizing figure whose future is hard to predict. The Dolphins, Saints, Patriots, Chargers, Packers and Redskins were among the teams doing research on Love. The young signal-caller will be a solid dynasty/keeper target for his athleticism, especially if he falls in the real draft.
