Taylor Rogers Suffers Finger Sprain
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Taylor Rogers (finger) left his outing on Monday against the Detroit Tigers with a left middle finger sprain. Rogers threw a wild pitch and immediately walked off the field, so there's a good chance this injury will require a trip to the injured list for the left-hander. The 30-year-old was an All-Star for the first time this year and has a 3.35 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and excellent strikeout (35.5 percent) and walk rates (4.8 percent), but he's recorded just nine saves on a bad Twins team this year. Fantasy managers need to plan for Rogers to be on the shelf for a little while, at the very least. If you're seeking saves, Hansel Robles will likely be the next man up, so run to the waiver wire and pick him up if he's available in your league.
