Taylor Gabriel Suffers Concussion Monday
5 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (concussion) suffered a concussion in the third quarter on Monday night and was ruled out against the Redskins. Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks (knee) also was hurt in the fourth quarter. Gabriel was still able to make fantasy owners plenty happy before his injury, though, catching six of seven targets for 75 yards and three touchdowns against Washington. It's bittersweet, however, because Gabriel could wind up sitting out in Week 4 against the Vikings. If Gabriel isn't able to get cleared on a short week, Cordarrelle Patterson, Javon Wims and rookie Riley Ridley would be candidates to step into the third receiver spot behind Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller.
