Tavon Austin Unlikely To Play In Week 7
6 years agoDallas Cowboys owners Jerry Jones said wide receiver Tavon Austin (groin) is unlikely to play in Week 7 against the Redskins. Jones said Austin's injury is similar to the one that cornerback Morris Claiborne dealt with in 2016. That injury caused Claiborne to miss nine games that season. While Austin may be back sooner than that, it's looking like his injury could at least cost him multiple games. Other than Cole Beasley's breakout two-touchdown performance on Sunday, none of Dallas' receivers have shown enough to be considered fantasy viable. Austin can be dropped in most leagues. Perhaps his absence allows rookie Michael Gallup to finally make some noise, but it's probably unlikely.
