Tari Eason Iffy To Play With Illness
7 months agoHouston Rockets forward Tari Eason (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to an illness. Eason got off to a late start in the 2023-24 campaign due to a preseason stress reaction in his lower left leg, and he's taken a slight step back after a promising rookie year on this more talented Rockets squad. The 22-year-old former first-round pick is averaging just 6.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 17.9 minutes through 10 games as a strict reserve for head coach Ime Udoka. If Eason is unable to play on Wednesday against OKC, his absence would likely entail increased run for Jae'Sean Tate and Jeff Green in the second unit. Eason is worth keeping an eye on in season-long fantasy leagues for his ability to rack up defensive stats when given meaningful playing time, but he doesn't warrant a roster spot in most formats with Houston fairly healthy at this stage of the season.
