Taijuan Walker Has Successful Bullpen Session
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Taijuan Walker (elbow) had a successful bullpen session on Friday, according to manager Torey Lovullo. He threw 45 pitches during the session. Walker is 11 and a half months removed from Tommy John surgery and could be an option for the rotation around midseason. The right-hander made just three starts last year and went 9-9 with a 3.49 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 in 28 starts in 2017. Owners will probably want to take a wait-and-see approach when he comes back. He'll be more attractive in NL-only affairs initially.
