T.Y. Hilton Played Through Ankle Sprains
6 years agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton (ankle) said on Tuesday that he played six weeks with both high and low ankle sprains to the same ankle. Hilton initially injured his ankle on Dec. 9 but made 23 catches for 429 yards and a touchdown in the final five games of the season despite missing most of practice during the week. “It was a lot of pain, but I’m a team guy,” Hilton said, via George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin. The 29-year-old had 76 catches for 1,270 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games total and has now reached the 1,000-yard mark in five of his seven NFL seasons. His arrow is pointing up as Indy's offense improves even more heading into 2019.
