5 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia said that rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson (back) is not in the concussion protocol after taking a hard hit to the middle of his back in the Week 9 loss against the Raiders. Hockenson had the wind knocked out of him on the play. The rookie had the second most targets (seven) on the season on Sunday and finished with three receptions for 56 yards. His 131-yard performance with a touchdown in the season opener against the Cardinals has been the outlier, but Hockenson can still provide touchdown-dependent TE2 value for desperate owners.
