6 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Steven Wright (knee) is likely to be replaced on the roster for the American League Division Series against the Yankees, according to sources. Wright was recovering from major left knee surgery this year but felt his knee bothering him before Game 1 on Friday and will visit with a knee specialist when the team gets to New York. Heath Hembree and Bobby Poyner are both options to replace Wright in the ALDS. If Boston wants more length, they could opt to go with Hector Velazquez or Brian Johnson. If Wright is replaced on the roster, he wouldn't be able to pitch in the Championship Series if the team advanced.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
