Steven Matz Dealing With Dead Arm
6 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Steven Matz, who didn't make it out of the first inning against the Nationals on Tuesday, said he's dealing with a dead arm/fatigue phase. “I feel healthy and good. It’s hard to describe," Matz said. The left-hander allowed eight hits and seven earned runs while walking one and striking out two in just two-thirds of an inning Tuesday in an embarrassing 25-4 loss. He's seen his ERA rise to 4.35 recently, and he shouldn't be trusted in his next start.
