Stephen Piscotty Should Be Ready For Season Opener
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (oblique), who was shut down from baseball activities earlier this spring, told NBC Sports Bay Area in April that he was pain-free and taking swings. Piscotty said that he was "fully confident" that he will be ready for the 2020 season opener. Fantasy owners will probably want the 29-year-old to prove it in spring training 2.0, but the COVID-19 shutdown definitely gave Piscotty some extra time to heal up. He also dealt with injuries last year, hitting just .249 with 13 home runs in 393 plate appearances. Piscotty has become somewhat of an injury risk, but he could still be worth a dart throw late in deep mixed drafts now that he'll begin the season on time.
