Steelers Reportedly Not Interested In Deshaun Watson
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly are not interested in acquiring Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. It was rumored earlier on Wednesday that Pittsburgh was in the mix to acquire the star quarterback, but that report has been refuted. Unless Pittsburgh acquires or drafts a quarterback, the Steelers plan to have Mason Rudolph under center as the team's starter in 2022. Watson's legal issues should clear up a bit on Friday when the district attorney investigating Watson plans to present her case to a grand jury. Due to legal issues, the 26-year-old did not play in 2021, but his trade market remains robust. He threw for 4,823 yards, 33 touchdowns, seven interceptions while rushing for 443 yards, and three scores over 16 games for the Texans in 2020. Expect the Texans to continue to engage with teams regarding a trade for Watson throughout the offseason. Stay tuned.
