Steelers Place Mason Rudolph On Injured Reserve
5 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers placed quarterback Mason Rudolph (shoulder) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. Rudolph came off the bench in Week 16 against the Jets to spell an ineffective Devlin Hodges, but he didn't last long. Rudolph did his best to keep Pittsburgh afloat after the team lost Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) just two games into the season, but he was mostly a low-upside game manager for Pittsburgh. The 24-year-old finishes the 2019 season with 1,765 yards on 62.2 percent with 13 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 10 games played. Hodges will try to get the Steelers into the postseason in Week 17 against the Ravens, but he's a QB2 to avoid.
