Steelers Not Ruling Out QB In Draft
5 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers feel good about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger's (elbow) health and have expressed satisfaction with backup Mason Rudolph, but general manager Kevin Colbert has not ruled out taking another quarterback in this week's draft. Pittsburgh has five QBs on their offseason roster, with Roethlisberger, Rudolph and Devlin Hodges starting games in 2019. Former first-rounder Paxton Lynch was signed in September, and former Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett was added in Week 17. Rudolph and Hodges played pretty poorly when given the chance, so the Steelers will consider adding a potential successor to Big Ben in this year's draft. Some have speculated that they'll look at Jalen Hurts at No. 49 overall. They don't have a first-round pick.
