Starling Marte Scratched With Knee Issue
6 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (knee) has been scratched from the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Marte felt something in his right knee on Tuesday night, according to manager Carlos Mendoza. However, the skipper said the level of concern is low and Marte will be available off the bench on Wednesday. With Marte out, Tyron Taylor will make the start in right field and will hit sixth against Nationals left-hander Patrick Corbin. Marte went 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Tuesday's win over the Nats and played all nine innings, but the Mets are going to be cautious here and keep the 35-year-old veteran out. It's a tough break for DFS gamers on Wednesday, as Marte has hit .310 with a homer and six RBI in 42 career at-bats versus Corbin.
