Sony Michel Agrees To Rookie Deal
6 years agoThe New England Patriots and rookie running back Sony Michel agreed to terms on a four-year deal on Sunday in advance of the rookies reporting to camp, according to a source. Michel was drafted in the first round and is expected to play a lot despite a crowded backfield that also includes Rex Burkhead and James White. Michel's long-term upside is intriguing, but he may have a low ceiling in redraft leagues because of the unpredictability of a Bill Belichick backfield on a week-to-week basis. The rookie had 156 carries for 1,227 yards (7.9 yards per carry) and 16 touchdowns in his final year at Georgia.
