Shohei Ohtani Playing Sunday
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (thigh) is in the starting lineup on Sunday after suffering a right thigh contusion during a home plate collision on Saturday. Ohtani is hitting cleanup against White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez. Since Tommy John surgery was recommended for the two-way Japanese start, Ohtani is 7-for-12 with a triple, three home runs, nine RBI, three walks, seven runs scored and two stolen bases. It's safe to say his elbow is fine for him to continue hitting, and fantasy owners need to keep him in their starting lineups. He's up to a .290/.372/.592 line on the year with 19 homers, 53 RBI, 48 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 255 at-bats.
