Shane Baz To Make His Next Start On Sunday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Shane Baz had a solid MLB debut against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday. As a result, the team is keeping him around for another start. He will make his second MLB start on Sunday against the Miami Marlins. Baz pitched five innings in his first start, allowing two hits, no walks and two earned runs while striking out five. He was held to 65 pitches in the game and he likely won't be extended much beyond that in his next start. The 22-year-old is the Rays' top prospect according to MLB Pipeline. He's worth an add for fantasy managers in need of pitching help. The matchup with the Marlins is a favorable one. If he gets another start, it would likely be a tough one against the New York Yankees.
