Sean Doolittle Throws Encouraging Bullpen Session
6 years agoWashington Nationals closer Sean Doolittle (foot) threw a 30-pitch bullpen session in Philadelphia on Tuesday and said it's the best he's felt. The first three or four bullpen sessions he threw after landing on the disabled list had to be cut short. He will now throw a simulated game at Nats Park on Friday. It looks like the left-hander could return to the team sometime next week, which is great news for his fantasy owners. Doolittle had been one of the best closers in baseball before his injury, and he should immediately return to ninth-inning duties. Until then, Koda Glover, Ryan Madson and Justin Miller could share save chances.
