Seahawks Offense Remains Unbalanced
6 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks are winless after two weeks and have thrown the ball 69 times compared to just 38 rushing attempts, a total that ranks 29th in the league. Running backs Chris Carson and rookie Rashaad Penny have combined for just 33 carries. Head coach Pete Carroll blamed himself and his impatience. Seattle is averaging a terrible 2.1 yards per rush on first downs as well. Carson remains the lead back over Penny, according to Carroll. But until this offensive line proves adequate, this is a backfield to stay away from in fantasy. Carson played just 19 of 64 offensive plays in the Week 2 loss to the Bears while filling in on two special teams plays. So while Carroll continues to praise Carson as the lead back, it's not showing up in the touches. Carson is averaging 5.8 yards per carry, while Penny is averaging just 2.2 YPC.
