Seahawks Not Closing The Door On Jadeveon Clowney
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said "the door is not closed" on the team re-signing defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, even though they've already added pass-rushers Bruce Irvin and Benson Mayowa in free agency. Seattle had the second-fewest sacks in the league last year, and even though Clowney has never had a double-digit sack season in his career, he's constantly disrupting opponents' backfields when he's healthy. Clowney missed time with a sports hernia and finished with just three sacks last year, and as a result he's had to lower his asking price on a cold open market. If Seattle doesn't re-sign Clowney, they could also turn to the draft this week to add a pass-rusher.
