Seahawks Have High Expectations For Rashaad Penny
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and the rest of the coaching staff have high expectations for second-year running back Rashaad Penny. "He’s talented, he’s explosive, he’s in great shape. He’s the smartest he’s ever been, he can catch the football, his pass protection has improved. Every aspect of his game is at it’s best," Carroll said of Penny. The former San Diego State product is behind Chris Carson for lead-back duties, but Penny could be an explosive change-of-pace option this year. He profiles as an RB3/flex option in PPR leagues in Week 1 against the Bengals, and he could see a huge boost in value if Carson were to go down with an injury at any point. Seattle led the league in rushing last year and should once again focus heavily on the ground game.
