Scott Schebler To Move To Left Field Next Year
6 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Scott Schebler made his first starts in left field this weekend as the club gets ready to shift him there full time in 2019. Outfielder Jesse Winker appears to be more comfortable in right field, so he will play there next season. “The throws are obviously a little easier, which helps me out,” Schebler said. “I don’t have to be quite as quick to get to the ball. As you’ve seen a little bit this year, I’ve rushed to get some ground balls and it’s kind of hurt us and hurt me. It’s just one of those things that it’s a little easier for me. That’s not true for everybody.” This obviously won't change Schebler's fantasy outlook at all. He's hitting .267/.342/.461 on the year with 17 home runs and 49 RBI in 101 games. He'll be somewhat of a sleeper for his power in deep mixed leagues with a starting role in 2019.
