Scott Kingery On Minor League Rehab Assignment
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Scott Kingery (hamstring) is moving his rehab assignment to Double-A Reading for Thursday and Friday. The 25-year-old has been on the injured list since April 20 with a strained right hamstring and played for Low-A Lakewood on Tuesday. He is scheduled to play nine innings at second base on Thursday and both third base and center field on Friday. He'll be re-evaluated after Friday's game and could come off the injured list on Saturday. Kingery has 13 hits in 32 at-bats (.406) on the year with two home runs and six RBI. He was interesting as a mixed league option when Jean Segura was injured, but he'll likely return to a super-utility role for the Phils upon his activation.
