Scott Barlow Allows Solo Homer But Converts Save
3 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Scott Barlow was called upon to close out Game 2 of the team's doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians on Monday. He entered in the seventh inning while the team was ahead 4-1. He went on to give up a solo home run to Bobby Bradley, but that was the only damage that was done. Barlow recorded two strikeouts in the inning and went on to earn his 14th save of the year. The 28-year-old has now converted six consecutive save opportunities and appears to be the clear closer for the team. He should be rostered in all leagues where saves are scarce for the final weeks of the year.
