Sandy Alcantara Tosses Complete Game Against Cardinals

Facing the St. Louis Cardinals, he pitched nine innings and allowed seven hits, two walks and three runs (two earned) while striking out three. He threw a season-high 117 pitches in the outing. Alcantara earned the win for his efforts on Wednesday and is now 8-3 on the year with a 1.95 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP. He leads the majors with 115.1 innings pitched while no other pitcher has reached triple-digits in innings on the year. Next up for Alcantara will be a matchup against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday.
