Sandy Alcantara Throws Complete-Game Shutout
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara tossed a complete-game shutout win over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday, allowing six hits while walking one and striking out three in nine innings. The 26-year-old All-Star now has a major league-leading three complete games this year, and he's now 10-4 with a pristine 1.88 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 141 strikeouts and 40 walks in 158 1/3 innings pitched over 22 starts this season. Alcantara has been one of the most dominant arms in all of baseball this year, and he's a must-start every time he toes the rubber in fantasy. His next start is scheduled to come against the Philadelphia Phillies next week.
