4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara pitched well on Saturday, earning a win and a quality start. Alcantara got destroyed in his first start off the COVID-19 injured list his last time out, but he was much better this time, even against the same team. Alcantara got through six innings, allowing just one run on three hits and three walks, while striking out eight. Alcantara threw 101 pitches, becoming the first Marlins pitcher of the season to reach the 100-pitch mark. The win pushed Sandy's record up to 2-1 and lowered his ERA to 3.78.
