5 years agoNew York Jets head coach Adam Gase said that quarterback Sam Darnold (illness) is not a candidate to go on Injured Reserve while he deals with mononucleosis. Darnold was quickly ruled out for Monday night against the Browns and could also miss Week 3. Trevor Siemian will get the start in Week 2 against Cleveland and could make multiple starts. His presence under center hurts all of Gang Green's skill players, including running back Le'Veon Bell, who is dealing with shoulder issues of his own. Cleveland's defense/special teams unit also becomes much more attractive as a low-end fantasy play on Monday night.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
