6 years agoNew York Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold (foot) is hopeful that he can return to play in Week 13 against the Titans after taking part in positional drills on Wednesday for the first time since straining his right foot in Week 9. “Coming back after today and actually practicing on it, being on it today and cutting and doing my drops, it’ll be interesting to see how it feels [Thursday],” Darnold said. “I’m pretty optimistic about it though.” Head coach Todd Bowles was non-committal on whether Darnold would return this Sunday. Darnold has had his ups and downs and threw four interceptions in his last game against Miami. It seems likely that the Jets give Darnold one more week to rest up. Whoever starts for Gang Green against Tennessee will be a weak QB2 option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
