Salvador Perez Smacks His League-Leading 47th Home Run
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double, a walk and three runs scored in the team's 6-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday. He now has 47 home runs on the year, the most in the majors. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is right behind him with 46. Perez has been absolutely on fire over the last two months. He has hit 21 of his 47 home runs since the start of August. He's slashing .282/.330/.583 with 24 RBI so far in September. It will be hard to argue against taking him as the first catcher off the board in fantasy leagues next spring.
