Salvador Perez Hit In The Face Mask On Monday
3 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez was removed after the eighth inning of Monday's game against the Cleveland Indians. He took a foul ball off his face mask in the seventh inning of the game. He initially stayed in the game and went up to bat in the eighth inning. He made the last out of the eighth inning, then he was replaced by Cam Gallagher in the ninth. The team hasn't said anything about a potential injury to Perez so he was likely removed as a precaution in a game the team went on to lose 8-3. Fantasy managers should be able to safely assume he's fine. Perez went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's game. Over 155 games on the year, he's slashing .275/.315/.541 with 46 home runs, 117 RBI and 83 runs.
