5 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryne Stanek will be the opener against the Tigers on Thursday, with Jalen Beeks slated for the bulk of the innings after that. Stanek has been solid this year with a 2.78 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 34 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings in 24 outings (16 starts) for the Rays. He doesn't have a ton of fantasy appeal other than ratios, however, as he won't stick around long enough for a win. Beeks is 4-0 with a 3.02 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 43 K's in 44 2/3 innings in his 14 relief outings and is the better fantasy play against the light-hitting Tigers on Thursday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
