5 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryne Stanek will serve as the opener on Thursday against the Twins. Stanek has proven to be a very solid real-life pitcher for the Rays in the opener role, but he doesn't bring a ton of fantasy appeal because he's usually never in the game long enough to pick up a win. The 27-year-old right-hander has a nice 2.47 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 43 2/3 innings over 33 games (22 as an opener).
