Ryder Jones Out For The Season
6 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Ryder Jones (knee) will miss the rest of the season after dislocating his knee on Sunday. “It’s a shame. The kid’s getting a chance to play up here and fix his swing, and that happens," manager Bruce Bochy said. Jones' 2015 season ended prematurely with a dislocated knee as well. Jones had two homers and three RBI in just seven at-bats with the Giants, so it's truly a shame. He hit .274/.328/.417 with 11 long balls, 59 RBI and 57 runs scored in 116 games for Triple-A Sacramento on the farm. He should compete for a bench role with the Giants in spring training next season.
