Ryan Zimmerman Hopes To Play A Few More Years
5 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman said that he hopes to play at least a couple more seasons. Winning a World Series title tends to give aging veterans renewed life. The 35-year-old was a staple for the Nats at first base throughout the postseason, but he battled injuries during the regular season, playing in just 52 games while hitting .257/.321/.415 with six home runs and 27 RBI. He fought injuries in 2018 as well, suiting up for just 85 contests. Zimmerman is a better real-life player than fantasy one at this point in his career, and he'll strictly be corner infield depth in NL-only leagues if he continues his playing career.
