Ryan Pressly Locks Up 18th Save
3 years agoHouston Astros closer Ryan Pressly struck out one batter through a scoreless ninth inning in the Astros 3-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Pressly picked up his 18th save of the season and has not blown a save since May 29. The Astros have been piling up the victories and there was a time when Pressly simply wasn't really needed to lock down close games. But the right-hander now has eight saves over the last month and is posting a 0.40 WHIP and a 0.60 ERA over his last 15 appearances. Chances should be aplenty for Pressly in the near future for more saves.
