Ryan Pressly Dealing With Stiff Neck
2 years agoHouston Astros closer Ryan Pressly (neck) had a stiff neck and was unavailable to close out Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins. With Pressly unable to pitch, Bryan Abreu came in to vulture a one-out save, but Rafael Montero will likely see most of the save chances for Houston if Pressly's injury keeps him out any longer. Pressly dealt with some minor neck soreness earlier this month, so it's certainly something to watch. The 33-year-old picked up his 25th save of the year in his last outing on Sunday, and he's also sporting a 3.11 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 46 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings pitched. It remains to be seen how long Pressly will be out, but if you're in need of saves and Montero is available on the waiver wire, scoop him up immediately.
