6 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Ryan McMahon is starting at second base and batting seventh on Opening Day on Thursday against Marlins starter Jose Urena. McMahon swung the bat really well in spring training and won the starting job at the keystone over Garrett Hampson, but he'll have to perform to continue seeing regular playing time. He has upside hitting at Coors Field, but McMahon's daily value takes a bit of a hit batting lower in the batting order.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
