6 years agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Ryan Madson (back) is in Phoenix, Arizona, doing electric therapy for his back. It doesn't sound like the veteran reliever will be back anytime soon. He was an option in the ninth inning for a short period of time with both Sean Doolittle and Kelvin Herrera injured, but that didn't last very long. With Herrera expected back soon and Doolittle on the mend, Madson is highly unlikely to be an option in the ninth inning whenever he's ready to return.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
