Ryan Braun Working To Hit More Fly Balls
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun has been working with a private hitting coach in the offseason and is making changes to his swing for the first time in his career. Braun is focused on turning his hard outs into more home runs. The 35-year-old hit a disappointing .254/.313/.469 with 20 home runs, 64 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 405 at-bats. However, he did have a nice 43.0 hard-hit percentage but also a weak 28.4 percent fly-ball rate. If Braun adds more fly balls next year and continues to hit the ball hard frequently, he could improve in the homer and average departments, although his injury history keeps him as a late-round commodity in mixed leagues.
