Ryan Braun Should See More Time At First Base
5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun should see more time at first base moving forward after the team dealt Jesus Aguilar to the Rays on Wednesday. It's unknown, however, how much time he'll see there alongside Eric Thames and Travis Shaw, and it'll depend on how he performs at the position and how well outfield prospect Trent Grisham does when he's called up in the near future. Braun is a shell of his former self and doesn't play every day, but he could platoon at first base against left-handed pitching and remains on a solid team. The 35-year-old veteran is hitting a respectable .270/.323/.472 with 15 home runs, 45 runs, 49 RBI and seven steals in 326 at-bats in 2019.
