Russell Wilson Will Show Up Monday
6 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will report to the team's first day of the offseason program on Monday whether he receives a long-term contract extension by his deadline on April 15 or not. The two sides don't appear to be close to reaching an agreement by Monday, so Wilson could end up playing the 2019 season on the final year of his contract. Seattle could look to slap the franchise tag on him next year or they could also trade him. A lot can still happen in this situation, and there are also reports that Wilson would like to play elsewhere. The 30-year-old handed the ball off more than any signal-caller in 2018 but still managed to toss a career-high 35 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. While there won't be much room for improvement on those numbers next year, Wilson remains a strong QB1 heading into next season.
