Russell Westbrook Bags A 30-Point Triple-Double
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook battled his way to a 30-point triple-double on Tuesday against the Knicks, bagging a game-high 31 points on 10-for-18 shooting with 13 rebounds and 10 assists. He finished 3-for-6 from behind the arc and shot 8-for-9 at the charity stripe while adding two steals and six turnovers to his stat line in 37 minutes. LeBron James missed the game with a suspension and Russ has more freedom to maneuver without the King on the court, which helps him to play to his strengths. LeBron will be back next game against Indiana, but Westbrook should be set for a nice week, as there are matchups against Sacramento and Detroit coming up. These two are among the worst defensive teams in the league, and the Kings even have the second-worst defensive record against opposing point guards.
