Royce Lewis Getting A Day Off Sunday
6 months agoMinnesota Twins third baseman Royce Lewis will take a seat for Sunday's series finale against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Jose Miranda will get the nod for the Twins at the hot corner and will bat fifth in the order against Pirates rookie right-hander Jared Jones. The Twins are easing Lewis back into the fold after he missed almost 10 weeks due to a strained right quadriceps muscle that he suffered on Opening Day in late March. The 25-year-old returned from the injured list on Tuesday and homered in his first two games back. In four games since coming off the IL, he's gone 3-for-13 with two RBI, two walks and four strikeouts. Injuries have hampered the former first-rounder early in his MLB career, but he remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues when he's in the starting lineup. Miranda has swung the bat well for Minnesota this year but faces a tough matchup in the impressive young rookie Jones.
