Royce Freeman To Be Listed As Starter
6 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Royce Freeman is expected to be listed as the starter ahead of Devontae Booker on the team's first regular season depth chart on Monday, according to a source. Freeman is expected to start in Week 1 against the Seahawks after being listed as the No. 2 behind Booker during the preseason. The rookie had three touchdowns and averaged 5.6 yards per carry on 15 attempts in three preseason games, while Booker carried the ball nine times for 33 yards (3.7 YPC). It confirms what most fantasy owners already knew: that Booker is the back to own in this committee approach in Denver. Booker has RB3/flex appeal in most leagues and has upside to be an RB2 if he gains more touches over Booker as the season progresses.
