Royce Freeman Ruled Out For Broncos
6 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Royce Freeman (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Chiefs, according to head coach Vance Joseph. Punt returner/wide receiver Daesean Hamilton (knee). The Broncos were holding out hope that Freeman would be able to play despite suffering a high ankle sprain last Thursday. With an injury that often sidelines players for up to a month, Freeman is not a lock to return in Week 9 against the Texans either. With Freeman out, rookie Phillip Lindsay is a high-end RB2 in a great matchup. Devontae Booker will have added valued in deep PPR leagues as a flex option for those in need during bye weeks.
