6 years agoTexas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor is not in danger of being optioned to the minors in light of his recent slump at the plate. He hit a two-run homer in the second inning on Sunday to snap an 0-for-21 slump and followed it up with an RBI single in the fifth inning. Odor said he worked on his timing at the plate before Sunday's game. He hit sixth on Sunday against a right-hander, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him benched against a lefty on Tuesday in a National League park without the designated hitter. Odor's power/speed combination is worth keeping stashed in most fantasy leagues despite his early-season struggles.
