Rougned Odor, Ronald Guzman Working Their Way Back
6 years agoThe Texas Rangers are hopeful that second baseman Rougned Odor (knee) could come off the injured list as early as this weekend against the Mariners. First baseman Ronald Guzman (hamstring) is a little further behind and is unlikely to return until at least next Tuesday. Odor had just seven hits in 42 at-bats (.167) to begin the season, but his mix of power and speed should remain useful the rest of the way in most mixed leagues. Odor's return will be bad news for Danny Santana, who has excelled at the keystone in his absence. Guzman was hitting .231 (6-for-26) with two homers and four RBI and is mostly an AL-only asset when healthy. Logan Forsythe should continue to see most of the starts at first with Guzman sidelined.
